As our nation marks 250 years, The Institute for Health and Social Equity honors the enduring promise of liberty—while recognizing that for generations, its reality was denied to many. We stand in deep gratitude for the courageous individuals who, throughout our history, have fought to bend the arc of this nation toward true justice and expand the reach of its founding ideals.

Guided by our central focus of advancing equity through education, our mission is to build a more diverse workforce that advances opportunities for all by creating pathways to nursing, STEM, and public service careers. Since 2016, we have worked to break down barriers and facilitate access into these critical fields for underrepresented students and emerging professionals, preparing them to lead and transform our communities.

This historic milestone is both an occasion for reflection and a call to action. The journey toward a truly equitable society continues. The Institute remains fiercely dedicated to the truth that freedom, in its fullest sense, requires the equal right to a quality education, a thriving career, and a healthy future—and we are committed to making that future a reality for all.
