Staying the Course: What Our Mission Looks Like in Real Life

At our ‘Voices Shaping the Future’ panel earlier this week, civil engineering student Kennedy Cill gave us a powerful reminder that perseverance and true belonging start from within.

Reflecting on her own journey, Kennedy shared:

“It was never about whether I belonged there — it was about my ability to be there and stay.”

This is exactly what The Institute’s mission looks like in action. We are here to provide the support, resources, and community that empower brilliant students like Kennedy to not just enter these spaces, but to thrive and stay the course.
